Production
Santa Farma's annual production potential is 55 millions of boxes. Entire adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Pratices (cGMP), Current Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP) and (cGSP) and Current Good Storage Practices put in action by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Ministry of Health of Turkey to ensure international standards in pharmaceutical production is of vital importance. All the equipment used for hormone production, tablets, liquids, ampoules and semi solid, is of the latest technology.

Hormone Production Facility
The process of structural organization and expansion of Santa Farma, which initially started in 1946, has gained momentum and acceleration with the commencement of Organon medicines (Schering-Plough Tibbi Urunler Ticaret A.Ş. and Organon have merged at 1st August 2008. When Organon had joined Schering-Plough company, Organon's legal status came to an end.) being produced by Santa Farma. The company facilities, having tecnologically a powerful structure, were formed considering the basic conditions and requirements of hormone production.

The hormone production process necessitates a fully special structure and adoption of a delicate manufacturing concept which requires constant updating. Santa Farma demonstrates with its facilities the fact that it takes and shoulders the responsibility of "being single name in hormone production in Turkey".

Laboratories
Quality Control Department is divided into the following sections;

• Instrumental analysis laboratory (raw material and finished product analysis),
• Physical/chemical analysis laboratory,
• Microbiological laboratory,
• Packaging Material Control laboratory
• Validation and stability.

Storage
Santa Farma's production facility and raw material storage is located in Edirnekapı over an area of 8000 m2. Besides, it has finished product storage with a covered area of 5000 m2 in İkitelli, as well as a packaging material storage with a covered area of 2600 m2 in Halkalı. Current Good Storage Practices (cGSP) rules are applied carefully all warehouses of Santa Farma.
